Pocket nappies are like a fitted nappy, except that you stuff them with the absorbent material of choice. They come either as All-In-Ones with a waterproof outer cover of PUL (Polyurethane Laminate) or in a variety of other materials such as fleece, flannelette, terry-towelling, hemp, bamboo, fake fur - anything really! The advantages of a pocket nappy are - * They're usually cheaper because they don't use as much material in their manufacture and they're less time-consuming to sew. * They're good value as you can stuff them with any material you have around, as long as it's absorbent, such as old towels. |
